For this NKBA design project, I reimagined the kitchen and bathroom of a 1895 bungalow for a retired professor who loves cooking and entertaining. My design focused on creating functional spaces with an open layout, natural materials, and plenty of light.

The kitchen features white Shaker cabinetry, butcher-block countertops, wood beams, and a large island with a brass farmhouse sink and seating for guests. In the bathroom, rich green tile, brass fixtures, and patterned flooring bring character while keeping the space practical and inviting.

This project blends historic charm with modern function to create a home that supports the client’s lifestyle, hobbies, and hospitality.
